Our European jaw crusher operates through a continuous, cyclic motion that converts rotational motor power into high-intensity compressive force. By driving the movable jaw plate against the fixed jaw, the machine delivers efficient primary size reduction for tough rock feeds while ensuring smooth material discharge for continuous plant productivity.
Raw rock feeds enter the symmetrical “V”-shaped crushing cavity through the top feed opening. The deep chamber geometry guides incoming materials directly into the active crushing zone between the fixed and movable jaw plates.
Powered by the heavy eccentric shaft, the movable jaw periodically advances toward the fixed jaw. This motion subjects the material to massive compressive, splitting, and impact forces, shattering hard lumps into smaller fragments.
As the eccentric shaft rotates further, the movable jaw retracts away from the fixed jaw. The crushed material moves downward under gravity and is continuously discharged through the bottom wedge-adjusted exit.
Operators can easily adjust the wedge setting system to modify the discharge gap size. This precise adjustment controls product output dimensions to match specific aggregate gradation requirements downstream.

The rigid main base supports the fixed jaw and absorbs heavy shock loads during primary crushing. Fitted with high-manganese tooth plates and side shields, the structural frame provides maximum wear resistance and long-term chassis integrity.
The movable jaw is cast from high-strength steel, with its tooth plate installed 80–250 mm higher than the fixed jaw. This unique height difference effectively shields the upper jaw body and bearing housing, ensuring smooth material flow while preventing bridging and jams.
Sleeved into the upper end of the movable jaw, the heavy-duty eccentric shaft is forged from high-grade alloy steel. The precision-machined bearing chamber accommodates large-capacity bearings to handle extreme radial forces seamlessly.
The bearing housing is built with optimized labyrinth sealing technology to lock in lubrication and keep dust out. This superior sealing performance eliminates oil leakage, extends lubricant life, and drastically lowers maintenance frequency.
Both sides of the crushing chamber are lined with replaceable alloy side shields. Secured by heavy-duty bolts, these guards protect the internal side walls from severe material abrasion and can be quickly replaced during routine servicing.
