At the core of the heavy-duty chassis sits a high-performance vertical shaft impactor (VSI), leveraging advanced “rock-on-rock” and “rock-on-anvil” kinetic crushing principles. This dynamic impaction process, complemented by automated system protection and wear-resistant rotors, consistently yields exceptional cubical particle shape while keeping fineness modulus precisely within required specifications.
Positioned right downstream of primary or secondary crushers, the mobile VSI plant integrates smoothly with portable washing and screening systems to close the production loop. Mounted on a single heavy-duty chassis, the ASTON mobile sand making plant combines an automated feeder, a high-efficiency vertical shaft impactor (VSI), and a multi-deck screen into an all-in-one processing circuit. This fully integrated setup controls raw material feed, applies targeted kinetic collision, and generates continuous-graded, high-spec manufactured sand with minimal manual intervention.
The heavy-duty feeder smoothly receives secondary crushed rocks or quarry stone chips. Integrated load-sensing controls continuously regulate feed velocity, ensuring a stable, choke-fed stream into the VSI host for maximum impaction efficiency.
Before entering the rotor, integrated prescreening decks strip out natural fines and already-qualified manufactured sand. Bypassing undersized particles prevents over-crushing, protects internal wear parts, and optimizes total energy consumption.
Materials enter the high-speed rotor and are accelerated to perform intensive “rock-on-rock” or “rock-on-anvil” collision. This dynamic kinetic process breaks materials along natural fault lines, producing highly cubical particles with a controlled fineness modulus.
The impacted output is smoothly transferred to an integrated multi-deck screen to classify different sand grades and coarse aggregates. Optimized conveyor drop heights minimize dust generation and material spillage during transfer.
Oversized stone chips that exceed specification limits are automatically recirculated back into the VSI crushing chamber via a closed-loop return conveyor, guaranteeing 100% aggregate compliance with strict site specs.
